MUMS Return Policy
Prior to checking out, carefully read through our detailed return policy.
We have a 30-day return policy.
You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Ensure an Easy Return:
- •No discounted, BOGO, or sale items•
- No Postpartum or Personal Care Products.
- No odours/pet hair. When trying on, avoid strong odours, pet hair, and removing tags.
- No stains. Keep items stain-free: no deodorant, makeup, food, lotions, or self-tanner etc.
- Inspect and try on items within 48 hours of receipt to identify any defects early.
- Returning an item in any condition other than new, (used, stained, without tags) or missing the cut-off date may lead to disappointment.
Final Sale Items: Please Note
- All Discounted, sale items, and gift cards are non-returnable/non-refundable.
- For hygienic reasons: Postpartum goods (lotions, creams, underwear, postpartum products), and personal care items (hair accessories, lotions, creams, sprays, beauty products). Additionally, swim, hats, custom products (special orders, personalized items), are non-returnable.
Return eligibility:
- Items must be in new condition: unworn, unused, with tags attached, and in original packaging when applicable.
- No final sale items eligible (review above)
- Proof of purchase: order number, receipt, or purchaser's name is required. We will ask for the reason to be provided (does not impact the return) - wrong size, fit didn’t suit, not as expected, no longer needed, damaged etc.
Initiate an Online Refund:

Contact us at info@mumsmaternity.ca to start a return. - You will receive a Return Authorization number, the address and any other information needed via email.
- Ship items back within 30 business days of receiving your RA#.
- Returns sent to us without first obtaining a Return Authorization number will not be accepted.
- MUMS does not currently provide free return shipping. We recommend using a carrier that provides tracking.
What happens next:
- After receiving and inspecting your return, you’ll be notified within one business day of the refund approval/denial.
•for our records, We take photos/videos upon receipt to verify the condition of the product(s)• - Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method the same day, within 10 business days you should receive your refund. Processing time for banks or credit card companies may vary.
- If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, please first contact your financial institution.
Damages and Issues: what to expect
- Inspect your order upon reception and contact us within 48 hours if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.
- After 48 hours, but within 30 days, issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We do not accept Damage/defective issues after 30 days of purchase. We also do not accept an item once it has been laundered, as there is no way to verify the manner it was laundered.
Exchanges:
- To get a new item, return the original item and make a separate purchase. Returned items can take up to 2 business days to go back in to store inventory.
Refunds for In-Person Purchases:
- Return conditions apply. See above.
Return within 30 days for a full refund. - Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
- Gifted items will be returned as store credit only if notified that you did not pay for them. Otherwise the purchaser's method of payment is refunded.
Defective Items:
- Inspect all purchased items upon receiving.
- Report any defects within 48 hours.
- Defects reported after 48 hours but within 30 days will be assessed individually.
- Exchanges and refunds are not available after 30 days.
To clarify, Final Sale Items include:
- Any item that is on sale, marked down, or discounted, (including BOGO offers), & gift cards are final sale.
- For hygienic reasons, swimwear, underwear, pantyhose, postpartum care, self-care items, and hair accessories are final sale.
- All Consignment items are also final sale. Contact the business directly for their return policy. (Lovebites, & Blues Boutique products)
Policy Changes:
- This policy is subject to change without prior notice.
MUMS Shipping
PUROLATOR does not accept PO Box 📦 addresses.
MUMS offers free expedited shipping via Purolator on purchases over our threshold.
Important Shipping Information
1. To ensure your package arrives safely and without delays, please double-check your delivery address before placing your order.
1 a. If you live in an apartment that requires a specific access code or a gated community with restricted entry, please provide this information.
or
1b. Choose an alternate address (like your workplace or a friend’s house) where delivery can be completed without issues.
We are a very small boutique and we don’t have the shipping power of larger brands and businesses. If a package incurs additional fees due to an incorrect or incomplete or inaccessible address provided to us, the customer will be responsible for covering these costs.
We also will not re-ship until new shipping charges are paid, we will send an email invoice.
